Reach Groups

Are the people who live, work, and teach in Indianapolis genuinely thankful that Faith Church exists? What if the leaders of our city valued our church's friendship and participation in our community?  That's what happens when Christ followers get serious about using their abilities to serve!

Reach Groups combine the growth and relational elements of a small group with a desire to actively serve. Participants share together in a common cause - such as children’s ministry, prayer, outreach to the poor, or a similar focus - and join together with other people who share that passion. Reach Groups meet at various times during the week, giving action to the faith we claim.

Reach Groups meet regularly to support one another relationally, to pray together, and to study the Bible and receive training vital to their ministry.  Relationships grow deep as participants not only learn together, but actually put that training into practice in practical ways. All Reach Groups have an annual commitment that gives stability to the group and to the group's ministry.  By committing to be part of the group for a year, participants feel the freedom to try new ministries and experiences.

Current Reach Groups include the following:

  • Student Ministry Reach Group
    (Bill Riedel and Angel Ho)
Adults who volunteer with the junior or senior high ministries at Faith Church meet together regularly to receive training, prayer and support as they minister to students on Sunday morning and mid-week events.
  • International Reach Group
(Peter LeBlanc, Tom & Laura Ho, Steve & Joan Eisinger, Katrina Vickery)
Those with a passion to help those from other countries also form a Reach Group.  The International group includes those who work on university campuses with international students as well as Faith's English as a Second Language ministry, which currently is working with Chinese and Turkish-speaking people in Indianapolis.
  • The A-Team
People in this group feel a calling to offer hospitality and kindness to newcomers. Whether new to our church or new to our community, the Assimilation Group helps people feel welcome and get connected within the community.
  • Children’s Ministry Reach Group
    (Anne Weaver)
Many of our most faithful volunteers minister in the area of Children's Ministry (birth through 6th grade).  This Reach Group provides support, encouragement and community to these volunteers.
  • Care & Prayer Reach Group
    (Larry & Bev Reed)
This group concentrates on providing shepherding care to those in need through encouragement, visitation, and prayer.
